History
I'm taken back by the mere amazement of our new president. As a kid politics never interested me, shit. during history class I once answered my "scan tron" test by drawing a picture with the bubbles.
But now as I get older, I see how interesting our history could be. Even the history of my parents country. And now I'm actually living in a historical moment it's a great feeling. How crazy to think that when my nieces are in High school (since right now there too young to completely comprehend wants going on) there going to be learning about this. I wonder how much our history's going to change from here.
I also noticed that Obama references Abraham Lincoln a lot. Makes me want to read more on his history... hmm.. How Fresh would that have been if he came out in a top hat. lol.
While i'm ranting on this..
WHO woulda effin thought that a Graffiti Artist's poster would be a world recognized campaign for our president. That show's such diversity that's going on. GO SHEP!!
i LOVE this song, and the second Beyonce sings the words "At Last" the crowd starts cheering perfect song perfect moment. Reminds me Allie and Noah's First Dance in "The Notebook". Mebbe that's why i liked it so much..
oh and sidenote..

Another Tripple D...
If you've been reading you'd know that Ray and I are HUGE fans of "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives" This weekend we went to Baby Blue's BBQ in Venice a Guy Ferrari recommendation.. and D A M N. that was amazing.

Ray and I have been going to this same sushi spot since I moved over two years ago. I recently told them about my "I GOT SOLE" ventures passing out pins and stickers to everyone. I loved seeing the reaction on the logo. I actually enjoy people enjoying my design.. So since i tend to blog about food on here A LOT i just wanted to show you a couple things "Take-Son" hooooooks it up with...

Rebate card madness...
So friday night i went to "The Oaks" to have dinner with the Simi Kids and one from Wacksville. First off the people were W E I R D. and the Bulgogi was ALRIGHT. But to the point. The Lovely Katrina recieved one of these, a verizon rebate card...
and the waitress lady BURNED! her out loud and said it was "DECLINED" because apparently there wasen't enough in the rebate card.. she didn't listen to directions. 10$ first, rebate card second. haha.. haha.. haha.. haha.. haha..

aright, all my 90s kids stand up for this one.. (and no not u kids that were born in the 90s. i mean the kids that were KIDS in the 90s.)
I asked my mom for one of these for years, and she always said NO. (because my mom being a nurse, i got all my school supplies from the hospital.. she told me it was part of her pay. gotta love it..) But one year we were at "THRIFTY" and I randomly asked her and she actually said yes.. and to this day I still remember which one it was because i would draw the graphic on it. ALL THE DAMN TIME..

My mom saw me watching this show once, and bought me the mini-book series. She thought i'd enjoy the book more then the show.. It didn't end up working out the way she planned haha..
okay.. this show was hands down one of my favorites! When i got one of those pens and put it on a necklace i thought i WAS part of the ghostwriter team. sad i know.. My imagination was intense when I was a kid..Guess some things don't really change
I watch it now.. and STILL want to go on this damn show...

was that you??
I had to get this subject matter outta my head. Let me give you the scenario.. Ray and I are parking the car to meet up with Hank at a bar in santa monica to ring in the new year. As we were standing there we see a tall guy's silhouette. We crossed the street and turned back and the guy was gone. I mean he couldn't have gone anywhere with out us seeing because there's no where to go. We were trippin out for awhile...
It's weird While i was standing in front of the car the man just stood there a few feet away from me. He stood like somebody i knew. Somebody I miss terribly. I wonder if that was him watching us. Looking out for us like he always did. Must have been his way of saying "what's up".. Thanx for lookin out for us..
